Yatzy — five variants in detail

More than classic Yahtzee: each variant has its own rules — all with bot, Game Center, iMessage, local duel and party mode (2–6 players).

🎲 Yatzy The classic

5 dice, 13 categories, up to 3 rolls per round. Upper section with +35 bonus from 63 points; lower section with full house, straights and Yatzy (50 points). Yatzy bonus: roll five of a kind again for +50 extra.

🎲 Maxi Yatzy 6 dice

20 categories instead of 13 — pairs, houses, towers and the full straight. Maxi Yatzy (6 of a kind) = 100 points; every additional six-of-a-kind +100 bonus. Upper section: +50 from 84 points.

🎯 Forced Yatzy No choice

Like Yatzy — but you can't pick the category. Ones, twos, … through Chance in fixed order. After rolling, the score is entered automatically. No match? 0 points. Pure forward planning.

⚡ Power Dice Power-ups

Standard Yatzy plus 4 power tokens per player — max one per round:

  • Double — entered score ×2
  • Extra roll — a 4th roll this round
  • Joker — set one die to any value (1–6)
  • Reroll all — reroll every die, even held ones

🔥 Risk Yatzy Push or bust

Push-your-luck on the Yatzy scorecard. Each round starts at ×1. Instead of scoring you can PUSH: multiplier +1 (max ×4), reroll all dice — your best possible score is saved. Fall below it → BUST: scratch a category for 0.

  • STOP — enter current roll × multiplier
  • Higher risk = higher reward — or a total wipeout

The Wutzy extension lives inside Messages. No extra account — just your Apple ID and iMessage.

  1. Open Messages, pick a contact or group chat.
  2. Tap the apps icon next to the text field and choose Wutzy.
  3. Pick a game and mode — your move is sent as a message bubble.
  4. Your friend taps the bubble, plays, sends back — async, whenever it suits.
